By installing, configuring, or using the WP RAG plugin ("Plugin"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Plugin.

2. Description of Service

WP RAG is a WordPress plugin that enables Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) functionality using your WordPress post data. The Plugin connects to our external API servers to provide AI-powered chat responses based on your website content. Additionally, our API services may be accessed through third-party integrations and external applications that we develop or authorize, including but not limited to MCP servers, workflow automation tools, and other complementary software solutions.

3. Free Service Limitations

The free version of WP RAG includes:

  • Basic RAG functionality
  • Limited API requests per month
  • Standard response times
  • Community support

4. User Responsibilities

You are responsible for:

  • Ensuring your WordPress site meets the Plugin's technical requirements
  • Maintaining the security of your WordPress installation and any third-party integrations
  • Complying with applicable laws and regulations
  • Not attempting to reverse engineer, modify, or interfere with the API services (note: the Plugin itself is open source under GPL-3.0 license)
  • Not using the service for illegal, harmful, or malicious purposes
  • Ensuring proper authentication and authorization when accessing our API through third-party applications
  • Maintaining the confidentiality of any API keys or access credentials

5. Data Usage and Content

  • The Plugin processes your WordPress post content to generate responses
  • You retain ownership of your original content
  • You grant us a limited license to process your content solely for providing the RAG service
  • You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to use and process all content

6. API Usage and Availability

  • The service depends on our external API servers
  • Our API may be accessed through the WordPress Plugin or authorized third-party integrations
  • We strive for high availability but do not guarantee 100% uptime
  • API rate limits apply to free accounts across all access methods
  • We reserve the right to suspend or terminate service for abuse or unauthorized access
  • Third-party integrations must comply with our API usage policies

7. Prohibited Uses

You may not use the Plugin to:

  • Generate harmful, illegal, or inappropriate content
  • Violate intellectual property rights
  • Circumvent usage limitations
  • Interfere with other users' access to the service
  • Distribute malware or engage in fraudulent activities

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

9. Limitation of Liability

IN NO EVENT SHALL WE BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF DATA, REVENUE, OR PROFITS.

10. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to the service at any time for violation of these Terms or for any other reason at our sole discretion.

11. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of any material changes by email (if provided) or through the Plugin interface at least 30 days before the changes take effect. For significant changes that affect your rights or data use, we may require your renewed consent. Continued use of the Plugin after the effective date of changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms, unless renewed consent is required.

12. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of Japan without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes, controversies, or claims arising out of or relating to these Terms or the use of the Plugin shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Tokyo District Court as the court of first instance.

Privacy Policy

  • Your WordPress content is transferred to and stored in our secure database servers
  • Vector embeddings are created from your content and stored in our vector database
  • Chat interactions are logged for service improvement and quality assurance
  • Data is stored securely with appropriate encryption both in transit and at rest
  • We implement industry-standard security measures including access controls and regular security audits
  • Data is processed within our secure infrastructure to generate AI responses

4. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information or content to third parties. We may share information only in the following circumstances:

  • With your explicit consent
  • To comply with legal obligations
  • To protect our rights and prevent fraud
  • In connection with a business transfer or acquisition

Future Data Use: While we currently do not sell or license user content to third parties, we may introduce optional programs in the future that allow users to consent to data sharing in exchange for service benefits. Any such program would require separate, explicit consent and would be entirely optional.

5. Third-Party Services and Integrations

The WP RAG service may integrate with or be accessed through third-party applications and services, including:

  • Content Data: Your WordPress post content and associated embeddings are retained until you delete the corresponding posts or uninstall the plugin
  • Chat Logs: Individual chat interactions are retained for up to 90 days for service improvement
  • Usage Statistics: Aggregated usage data is retained for up to 2 years for analytics and service optimization
  • Account Information: Account and configuration data is retained until account deletion or service termination
  • Legal Basis: Data is retained based on legitimate interests for service provision and improvement
  • Deletion Rights: You may request immediate deletion of your data at any time by contacting us

7. Your Rights (Including GDPR Rights)

Under applicable data protection laws, including GDPR where applicable, you have the right to:
